11/16/11 - Good morning! Just a short update to let you know that Anna's grandson came into the world healthy and beautiful, praise God for His goodness. His name is Camdyn Lee and he has a headful of black hair. All are doing well. Congratulations, Macy, Josh, and big sister Lillian! I have posted pictures in the gallery.
09/06/11 - It has been a while since we have posted the news! We have our new project, "Pray" and we feel like it is the best we have ever done. Roger Talley has been such a "God send" to us. The song from Dianne Wilkinson, "The Blind Man Preached" is the first song to radio. It is on the Spin-N-Motion comp for July cut number two. Please call your local radio station and request it.
We have been very busy the last couple of months and have a busy schedule for the rest of the year. Please look at our calendar page and come be with us if at all possible. We have just returned from the Gatlinburg Gathering and we were chosen to participate for one song ont the main stage, wow! We were able to perform our new radio song, "The Blind Man Preached" and be a part of the Grand Fianle with the Hoppers, Tribute Quartet, Triumphant Quartet, Pfiefers, and The Primitive. What a blessing and a thrill! God is Good!
We were also with the folks at Zion Baptist church Gastonia, NC for their annual jubilee, what a meeting! Many souls received the help they needed and it was a shout it out meeting. Folks on their feet for every preacher and singer, unreal.
Please keep Anna's grand baby in your prayers, we had a scare for her but it appears she is going to be fine.
05/04/11 - Well it has been a long time since I posted on here. We have been truly busy, a good thing, here of late. We have been in the studio working on what I believe will be our best project to date. We have songs from some great writers, Kyla Rowland, Rebecca Peck, Daryl Williams, Dianne Wilkinson, and Rodney Griffin. As always we have a song from the Red Back book, Heavens Jubilee. Roger Talley had all the A team up to par and what a job they did.
Speaking of songs our song, "Traveling Light", written by our good friend Pastor Leonard Fletcher has moved to number 47 in the Singing News charts, please keep calling your local radio station and requesting it.
The Joyaires have been on the road in many different places. We have been from northern Ohio to Myrtle Beach, SC, what a trip. We made our first trip to Creston, OH and sang at the Canaan Free Will Baptist Campmeeting Easter Sunday night and Monday night after Easter. What meetings we had! We met and made many new friends. Pastor Jim McComas and wife Beth, Dr. David Crowe and wife Kathy, Lukas Phillips and wife Chelsey, Wade Spencer and wife Theresa, of course we have known Wade and Theresa for a long time. The Canaan Free Will Baptist Church family were absolutely wonderful!! The McComas and Spencer family fed us Sunday and Monday, wow! Thank you all for being so gracious.
Then on to Myrtle Beach for the Singing In The Sun. We had a great time met many new people and heard Pastor Larry Brown on Friday night, he is tremendous! From Myrtle Beach we traveled to Walnut Cove, NC and the Wayside Baptist Church. Had a wonderful service with Pastor Lonnie Sorrell and wife Donna along with a great church family. The good Lord showed up and showed out! The these folks also fed us! Now it is back reality and a diet!
God is so good!
01/18/11 - I did not realize it has been so long since I have updated the news, we are really into the winter already! We have had snow, snow, and more snow! Christmas day was Deb and I 41st wedding anniversary, how time does fly. My Mother went to Oklahoma City to see my niece and her family for Christmas so the rest of us who could get there met at the Cracker Barrel in Crossville, TN on Christmas Eve for breakfast and had a great visit(did not have clean up the mess ha ha). Was really good to see them all.
Christmas Eve night we went to our church, Batley Baptist Church for our annual Christmas Eve communion, what a great celebration. We had about 146 people in attendance.
On Christmas Day Deb and I went to her sister Sharon's house in the snow. You can look at the photo album to see. We had a great time but came right back home because of the weather.
Anna and Davey spent Christmas with her family. Her daughter Megan and husband Josh came in from Georgia where Josh is pastor of the Homerville Freewill Baptist Church. Of course her other daughter Macy and husband Josh along with her granddaughter Lillian Rose were all there.
We have not had to cancel any dates because of the weather but, it sure has been cold. We sang twice on January 9th, twice on the 16th and once on the 17th. Great services everywhere. On the seventeenth we were at Valley View Baptist in Knoxville, TN for the Greater Knoxville Baptist Fellowship monthly meeting. Brother Boyd Bingham from Binghamtown Baptist Church Middlesboro, KY preached and did he ever preach. The house was packed, what a service.
Our producer Roger Talley came to our house on the 17th to help us choose songs and work on our new project. We had a great time and accomplished more than we could have imagined. He is a phenomenal producer. We sure look forward to having new material to use to bragg on the Lord.
11/17/10 - Fall is in the air and I believe we are going straight into winter! We have had a great time the past few weeks. We were privileged to be a part of the Thanksgiving Jubilee at Dyson Grove Baptist Church Mountain City, TN. What a time we had! The services and crowds were great! We got to meet many new friends and met Brother Lance Carpenter a great songwriter and wonderfull christian. On Friday night after the service a young lady came to Pastor Leonard Fletcher (a great songwriter himself) and said "I can remember being baptized but, I don't remember being saved". Praise be to God she now can remember! You would just have to have been there to enjoy all that happened. The Dyson Grove church does this meeting every year and it is a must attend meeting! Thank you Fletcher Family and Dyson Grove Church for all your love for us and the Lords work!
On Saturday November 6th we traveled to Boone, NC and had a day to relax and shop, eat .etc. Deb's sister Sharon and her whole family came up to Boone and we shopped then went to the Daniel Boone Inn and had super. What a feast! We all ate too much and had a great visit.
Sunday morning November 7th it was on to Cornerstone Baptist Church Deep Gap, NC. Weather was very cold and windy but we had a great time with this wonderful church. These folks are used to the cold weather so it did not keep them at home.
09/22/10 - Well here we are again. We had a great time at the Valley View Baptist Church for the Greater Knoxville Baptist Fellowship. Then we traveled to Monterey Second Freewill Baptist Church for their homecoming. The service was wonderful, folks came forward for help from the Lord as only He can. What a feast in the fellowship hall!
From Monterey we traveled on to Louisville, KY to the NQC. We got in about 7:00pm and set up our booth. On Monday we sang in the Artist Spotlight Showcase. The showcase went very well as the good Lord came by our way. Deb and Anna came home and I stayed at NQC until they returned on Thursday.
On Tuesday we had some great news, our song "The Empty Chair" will be in the Singing News chart for November! What a thrill for us to be back on radio. We have so many people to thank, Tony and Kim Hudgins, our radio promoters, a job well done. Thank you! To all you DJ's and Program Directors we humbly say "Thank You". To the writer, Leonard Fletcher and his family what friends you are to us. And finally the Good Lord for all He does for us. His traveling mercy, grace, love, kindness, and joy that He sends our way. What a Savior we have!
On Friday we journeyed up to Joe Huber Farms for our friends Mike and Lois Linkous. They brought four tour buses to NQC and as part of the trip they were treated to lunch and singing by New Ground, The Lesters, and The Joyaires. What a time we had. All the groups did a terrific job and Brother Mike and Sister Lois were most gracious hosts. The people on the tour were a great crowd to sing to and were most complimentary. Thank you Linkous Tours!
We came home on Saturday, got a good shower, clean clothes, and left for Elizabethton, TN. Anna had to go to Buffalo, New York on Sunday so Deb's sister Sharon Hamby filled in for her. Thank you Sharon! We had a great time at Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Haley and the whole church. And of course it was homecoming day, and what a meal we had. Thank you church.
Then we traveled to the Watauga Valley Freewill Bapist Church with Pastor Bill Greer and the church family. Once again the Lord showed up and showed out. Great service and time in the Lord. We finally arrived back home about 11:30PM Sunday night very tired but very happy in the Lord. Please continue to pray for us as we journey on for Him.
09/08/10 - It has been sometime since we have updated the news and photo gallery. We always strive to keep our date calender up to date but sometimes I am a little slow on the other things. We have been in some wonderful meetings and singings since we last time. June we were at Victory Baptist Church Marietta, GA with our friends Pastor Larry Ritch and Miss Dot. We had a great time. That night we were at Calvary Baptist Church Powder Springs, GA with Pastor Synder Turner, again a wonderful time in the Lord. I know I will leave someone out but remember I am "old". We did the Johnson County Campmeeting Trade, TN and we just shoutrd it out. Brother Charles Worley from Maiden, NC has been preaching this meeting for some 22 years.
We did the Abraham Productions Gatlinburg Gathering Gatlinburg, TN for the first time September 2,3,4 had a great time and then on to the Zion Baptist Church Labor Day Jubilee, Gastonia, NC. Once again the Lord was good and came by in all His glory. It was reportedly the biggist crowd in 17 years.
We will be at the Valley View Baptist Church Knoxville, TN this Thursday night September 9th for the Greater Knoxville Baptist Fellowship Revival. Brother Ralph Sexton Jr. will be preaching. We will be at the Second Freewill Baptist Church Monterey, TN Sunday morning September 12 10:00 AM CST for their annual homecoming. Then it's on to NQC in Louisville, KY. Almost forgot, we have just gotten a brand new DVD of our latest project, "The Empty Chair". It also has a bonus cut from our project, "The Glimpse...", "We're Not Home Yet". I do not have it in the store just yet but if you want it please call our office and order it.
As you can see on our Homepage Anna is a Mimi. She has a beautiful grand daughter, Lillian Rose.
04/26/10 - Well I don't know where to begin. We have been gone for a long time for us. We left on the 17th and got home on the 23rd only to go out again on the 24th. We sang at Mayberry Baptist Church, yes I said Mayberry, in Mount Airy, NC on Sunday morning the 18th and had a wonderful time with many folks coming to the altar. Brother Craig Edwards and his church family made so welcome. From there we traveled to Gastonia, NC and the Zion Baptist Church. Brother Leo Kuykendal and the church made us so welcome. We always do Labor Day Jubilee with these folks and that date is September 5th. We left Gastonia and traveled on to Myrtle Beach for the Singing In The Sun. The folks at Abraham Productions made us so welcome and we sang on Wednesday evening at 04:00 PM. I think the whole week was sold out, is that not exciting! Mike Huckabee spoke on Wednesday night and told us to quit looking at the "doom and gloom" our God is still in control.
The ocean and beach were perfect, the water was a little cold but it was absolutely beautiful!
We came home on Friday and then sang at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Anniversary Sing in Lake City, TN. This was their 13th year in Lake City, great crowd, good singing, and good food. We sang at our home church, Batley Baptist Church on Sunday morning and our Pastor, Brother Luke Kidwell did a super job as always!
03/08/10 - It has been a little while since I have updated the news so I will do that. We have a long, cold, snowy winter and we are ready for spring. Our Easter flowers are coming up in abundance and that is a good sign winter is about over. Easter, what a blessed event for the Christian!

12/22/09 - Well Christmas is just around the corner. The Joyaires will be going in a bunch of different directions.
Deb and I along with Ruben and Peg Bean just returned from three night in New York City. Wow, what a place! We got to see all the normal places that most folks go to that have never been there, Statue of Liberty, Stanten Island Ferry, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Ground Zero, and Central Park. There was wall to wall people and was it ever cold. We had a wonderful time and not one rude person or one bad cup of coffee.
Anna wil be spending Christmas with her family. I think Christmas dinner is with her Mom and Dad, her Mom is a great cook also. Did I mention that Anna is going to be a MiMi, haha? Macy and Josh are doing fine and are happy parents to be. Anna's other daughter Megan is home for Christmas from school in Nashville, I am sure she has made Mama's Christmas. Megan is getting married March 6th 2010 and her fiance is named Josh also, congratulations!
Deb and I will celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary on Christmas day! It has been a blessed 40 years. We will travel to my Mom's over in Allardt, TN (close to Jamestown) on Christmas Eve for lunch with the family. Then it's a mad rush back to our home church, Batley Baptist Church, for Christmas Eve candlelight communion. Christmas Day we go to Deb's sisters in Marion, NC for lunch with her family and then she and I will come back to Gatlinburg, TN for a couple of days.
Let's all keep our wonderful Savior in mind this Christmas and continue to remember what the season really is. Merry Christmas!
12/10/09 - Just wanted to update you on the progress our new project. We should have a few pieces of product just any day now. Hopefully for you folks who live close by we will have some for Christmas. We certainly look forward to singing it for you.
Anna has great news she is going to be a MiMi. Her daughter Macy and her husband Josh are expecting a little bundle of joy next July 13th. Congratulations to all. Actually July 13th is Debbies birtday also. Anna gives Deb and I a hard time about being young enough to be our daughter so I guess we will have to be "great grandparents" wow!
Hope everyone has a blessed and Merry Christmas!
